Re: Lilly Epilogue (Good End): Family Matters (not by me)

I found a rather heartwarming piece of writing with no author or mention (other than tvtropes, which was where I found it). Google search gave nothing else, and so if it's cool with the mods I'd like to share it. I thought the characterization was quite on the mark. Even in cases there were ...

I liked it pretty well as it was so I look forward to seeing what it looks like once you've spent more time on it. :D

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Actually, if you put it that way, it seems to me that it would actually work better to not give you any choice at all during the Lilly conversation if you chose not to go into the city. Since either way, Hisao cannot agree with Lilly, no choice should be given, because no choice IS given. I was ...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

I actually believe it makes the most sense to have Hisao not be able to agree with Lilly without going into the city. Without the city excursion, there really isn't enough evidence for Hanako's possible independence for Hisao to realistically agree with Lilly, even if he wanted to. If you notice ...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

What's the decision that prompts the bad ending where she chews Hisao out for being overprotective ? Don't go into town And then it doesn't matter whether you heed Lilly's advice or not This annoyed the crap out of me just because of how it was executed. I'm pretty sure I clicked "listen to Lilly ...

Good question. That song is Rin at her Rin-est.
Old Parity, definitely. I feel like the new version doesn't fit Rin at all. :?

I have to say I love Kenji's new theme though. It's not quite as blatant as the old one but still conveys his general weirdness.

Re: There's a "Nice Boat" In Katawa Shoujo

You guys are missing the most obvious explanation. Hisao becomes a rapper. Okay, the mental image I just got of Hisao, Rin and Lilly going "I'm on a boat! I'm on a boat! Take a good hard look at the motherfucking boat!" while Shizune (using a technologically advanced voice generator) does the ...

Re: Have you played Hanako's Game recently? (Poll)

Judging by the way the poll's going, seems like there's really nothing odd about Hanako's walking game after all. Someone should tell her she doesn't need to feel embarrassed about it after all. On the other hand though, this is Hanako we're talking about, so getting embarrassed over normal stuff ...

Re: Widescreen monitor support?

Right, so I'm using DVD's on a friends computer for reference, but they looked great, so I figured the same logic could be applied to a widescreen game, thus, it would look just fine. Oh well, my two cents aren't worth one, that's nice to know... Movies work differently, it seems like. With games ...

Re: In regards to Shizune

Yeah, you're not the first to note my unusual reading habit. Most people I know find it odd, but eh, we can't all be perfect like me! Haha. Just kidding. It's definitely an interesting way of doing it, I might actually have to try it sometime. Maybe I'll get more out of a story if I pause every few ...

Re: In regards to Shizune

Ah, I was just wondering since you seem to be taking a while to get through KS. It seems like you have plenty else to do, though. I wouldn't say plenty else LOL but I guess it's a sign that I truly enjoy what I'm reading. Most novels I blow through them in a day. But a truly good novel, I will read ...

Re: Why does Hanako attend Yamaku?

There is a number of students at Yamaku who don't exactly NEED to be there. Yamaku is not a hospital, it's a school, so they don't drive anyone away if they don't fill some set conditions. In fact, technically you could be perfectly healthy and still attend Yamaku (provided that you have enough ...

Re: In regards to Shizune

But again.... you can't judge them all based on this observation. They are all individuals and saying "this is wrong" and "that is bad and they shouldnt be like that" is irrelevant because there are many who are not like that. For the record, I didn't mean to suggest that I thought all deaf people ...

Re: Widescreen monitor support?

I mean, you fullscreen a widesreen game on a 4:3 CRT, and it looks great!. No it doesn't. True that. On another note, I started using the Windows 7 beta (was using XP before) and my problem with the game stretching when I widescreen it mysteriously vanished. Black bars ahoy! Now if only Starcraft ...
