Re: In regards to Shizune
I also noticed that it isn't an exact translation (not sure if such a thing would be practical, let alone possible), so much as an interpretation. In the first video I linked there is nothing too obvious in the English lyrics to indicate that the singer is a vampire; it is all subtly implied. Yet w...

Re: In regards to Shizune
I found these by accident, but they don't look very much like the Para Para dancing. More like ASL interpretations of English songs performed in time to them. I'm not sure if they're anywhere close, but they seemed interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD04NItOgEk http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: In regards to Shizune
Wow. This thread sure has changed a lot of my perceptions. I feel like an oaf for making the post that sparked this in retrospect, but I was more ignorant then and I hope you don't hold that against me. The task my family has placed before itself seems a lot more daunting now, but that is as it sho...

Re: In regards to Shizune
I replied this to another thread, but thought it would be applicable here for those not following other threads since it fits the theme of this thread well. I am curious, but do you happen to know how long it usually takes to learn/master sign language at a level where conversation with a deaf indi...

Re: Disabled Developers / Players?
The discussion here appears to have evolved, and I no longer feel out of place in contributing. :) My Aunt is in the process of adopting a deaf child from a foreign country and our entire family plans to learn ASL together over the summer in support of that endeavor. We can't wait to meet and welco...

Re: Really really REALLY dumb questions
taken totally out of context how i had meant it was that having sex with someone is essentially saying to them that "despite all of your idiosyncrasies i love you and accept you" so please dont say it like i mean having sex with a handicapable person makes you a better person Then how do ...

Re: In regards to Shizune
Thinking about it some more, I don't know if you'd particularly care for standing in a choir Stalk. Sure, it is like being bathed lightly from head to toe in a feeling both like and unlike that of a singer such that you feel it in your very bones, almost like it is coming from within you, but there...

Re: In regards to Shizune
As far as singing while being touched, I don't expect it would be that difficult once I got used to it. Sure it would be distracting at first, but it would mostly depend on how familiar I am with the piece and the person I'm singing it to. I certainly wouldn't be able to do it while practicing some...

Re: In regards to Shizune
Well, she said that the feeling of a person singing feels good on her chest, so I had the mental image of her resting her chest on someone's back as they sing, essentially hugging from behind. I found the idea cute. When she said this I pictured standing in front of the singer with one hand touchin...

Re: Act1 Walkthrought, 100% & Individual paths
Mirror Moon? First I've heard of them. Where would I be able to find an example of what you're talking about on their site? I couldn't find anything that looked obviously like a walkthrough. I made this in a vacuum, with no previous experience to rely on, and was more worried about making sure I had...

Re: In regards to Shizune
I also love a good singer, the feel on the chest is beautiful. Very few have the confidence to let me touch them while they sing, though, which makes me sad. Hmm...I would certainly find being touched while I sing awkward at first. I feel vulnerable putting my voice on display in the first place, h...

Re: Act1 Walkthrought, 100% & Individual paths
Alrighty, here's my first attempt at using OpenOffice Draw. I think it is much easier to follow now, but I added some very abbreviated directions for anyone who is colorblind or gets overwhelmed when they see lots of numbered dots and arrows. There's no legend in this one, but I think the color codi...

She's River Tam minus the mind reading and a couple of arms. It is good to hear that Serenity and Firefly is not dead, I see. Back on topic though, Rin's painting of mutated figures in a school for disabled children, who might be lacking a limb or two... It is very hard to ignore the connection... ...
