Re: Yamaku Book Club (20200427 Two Flat Jokes)
I like the new logo. It's been a few years since the last one, change is good! Mutou Gets Fired Bittersweet, but a bit empty. Perhaps Mutou should have gone to the pub with his mates, it'd have given the author an opportunity to explore his state of mind a bit, with an inner monologue maybe? I got ...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated/New Art 5/26)
At the same time, this doesn't surprise me that japan has this sort of legality to it, since its still very much a patriarchy society along with if and when Saki's condition deteriorates to the point that she may need someone to make medical decisions for her. Then Hisao would be the one she would ...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 5/26)
However, parental consent only requires one parent from each side to approve it and not both parents on each side. That's why it would be a long engagement if it were to happen. :) The whole consent thing doesn't make sense from a western perspective, but as long as they have it I can understand ...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 5/26)
Another great chapter Euro! On one hand marriage right after high school is such an anime trope, on the other I can see how it fits in this story and I'm sure you'll handle it excellently :) I bring a hand up to my mouth, my mind whirling. “That would be true, wouldn’t it? But, even if it is true, we ...

The Kenji reveal put a smile on my face but this made an audible chuckle, well done!

Well... I was last here more than a year ago, when chapter 3 was just finished and euro was telling us about his kidney stone :) A few days ago the first act of a spiritual successor to KS, Missing Stars , came out and playing that (strongly recommended btw) reminded me of some of the great writing ...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (New Artwork 10/25)
This one looks lovely euro! I especially like how Saki turned out.
Sorry to hear about the kidney stone, hope things cool down a bit and you can relax. Oh, and no need to hurry with LtF, we've been reading your stuff for half a decade now, what's another few years

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Act 3 Completed 8/20)
No matter how bad things get, no matter how many things you lose control over, suicide is the one thing you still have control over. It's not the idea of killing yourself that you take comfort in, it's the sense of agency the ability to make a choice gives. This is exactly why Saki's view on ...

This was really fun, despite an eye-watering number of SPaG issues It felt like Scissorlips' Suzu, which I think is the highest compliment a Suzu fic can receive

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Act 3 Completed 8/20)
I also don't really see why her desire to live life to the fullest should contradict a wish to marry. For many "becoming a parent" is one of the greatest experiences there is, period. Whether it is for Saki... I'm honestly not sure. Leaving aside the idea that marriage is a prerequisite to ...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Act 3 Completed 8/20)
It would be super sweet if Hisao and Saki got married in an unofficial wedding, just the two of them, since she won't be gettin' a real one 'cause of her condition :( Too sweet, I'd say, saccharine even. For a teenager who has her mind set on early suicide to avoid the horrors of a nursing home ...
