Re: Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#65—'Unsaid')
I've always enjoyed your rendition of Mutou, you capture the warm but slightly distant, passionate but restrained, facets of his personality beautifully. And here he's being as meddlesome as Nurse! Thank you for the story.

Re: Lap's One shots & misc - New Entry 3-15-2020
Ahhhhh I didn't realise how much I needed this story until I read it! I particularly like how it is in your Arrival continuity, it feels very true to the Hanako there.
Wonderfully done, thank you so much!

Kissaten
I wasn't going to put this up because I thought it needed a lot of context before it made any sense, but Lap and Feurox's reactions reminded me to trust the reader. If you want to find out more about kissaten , third places or golden filters for drip coffee then you are perfectly capable of doing ...

Thanks all, I felt it was fitting to have Miki be upbeat and looking forward to her future on her birthday!

Memories
As always, thanks to Feurox and Lap for helping me to improve greatly this tale. *** Miki hugs herself to keep in the warmth as she walks down to the track. An hour after dawn, the temperature hovers just above freezing, and the late winter sun makes the frost patches sparkle. She smiles as she ...

Re: Yet another one-shot thread (updated 2020-1-17)
Thanks to both of you for the lovely words! As to whether normal people text to each other like in the story, I dunno - the only person I regularly text is my teenage daughter, and I'm not sure either of us counts as normal!

Re: Yet another one-shot thread (updated 2020-1-17)
Thanks, it's good to be back in a writing frame of mind! There is a shared continuity, 14 out of the 25 stories in this thread are set in it, the ones with Suzu, Miki and Hisao being the most obvious though there are a couple of others too. And when they first saw her with the handsome guy I ...

Date Night
Many thanks to Lap and Feurox for their valuable feedback! It's been a very rough few months for me so I wanted to write something to cheer me up and here it is. If you wish, you can remind yourself of Hanako's friendship with Suzu, Hisao and especially Miki in the short stories "You are not alone ...

Re: Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#61—'Paralysis')
While reading this beautiful story it occurred to me that After the Dream is a fractal rather than a mosaic: wherever you look there's more and more intricate, surprising detail to be found.

Re: Avenues of Communication (Complete)
untranslated words tend to be woefully insufficient when conveying tone and atmosphere. I had never come across this opinion before participating in this fandom and it makes no sense to me at all. I see untranslated words in literary fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, technical literature etc so I wonder ...

Moon Hare
Many thanks to Lap and Feurox for helping me de-clutter this tale; any remaining clutter is, of course, my responsibility. *** Hisao sighs unsteadily as the Principal walks off the stage. "That was rough. I didn't know Tanaka so why did it hit so hard?" Miki pulls him into a tight hug. "Yeah, these ...

Re: Yet another one-shot thread (updated 2019-09-06)
Thanks all for the really useful feedback - I tend to overthink the circumstances around my stories and consider the background to be "obvious", so it's good to be reminded that trails of breadcrumbs get eaten by birds

Longing, Love, lust
"Checkm-mate." "Dammit!" He slaps the table in frustration then frowns when he sees her flinch. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." "I-its ok. What's wrong? I don't usually b-beat you so easily." "I'm just distracted." He stands up and starts to pace. "Where is she? Class rep business can't take ...

Thank-you all for the lovely comments, it's such a fillip to read them. I didn't intend Quercus mongolica to be depressing per se, yes there's pain but by the end the only thing to actually lose out is the tree and it might be happy to not have Misha wahahaha~ing incessantly! And of course ...
