May seem overkill for Japan's winter. I have similar one and you can just slip in and out of them with little effort. More importantly, no need for hands since no laces or anything.

The dedication would be great if she was her own gift. I do think that it is more likely that Lilly invited Hanako over for Hisao's birthday. You know when they say; The gift is just having you with us.

I would like to think the pic with Hanako has a cake in front of her saying; Happy birthday Hisao!

I really like the Forest Gump and Lt Dan. Nice to see some people can have a laugh about it.

As a pen and paper rpg player, I really love this. I was toying with the idea of writing a complete campaign trough the eyes of the characters.
Did they just crash in on Hanako, and only noticed she was in the room halfway trough the game? Sure seem like it to me.

There was a ghost in the first one I think. Or maybe it was really a stoned student messing with Hanako.

Really loved this series, looking forward to the next one.
