Re: What If Katawa Shoujo Never Existed?
You obviously have no soul. Consider a career as a lawyer. Kidding, kidding. First of all, this forum is strongly subject to self-selection bias. Generally, the only people who would care enough to post here are the people who were strongly affected by KS; everyone else who played it, and didn't ...

Re: Ask!
If Emi were missing her arms below her elbows instead of her legs below the knees, would she still run? Or would she find a way to become the pull up queen of Japan? The strongest arm wrestler with no arms?
God, I love Emi. <3

Re: I don't want to do Rin's route
The way Rin is portrayed in the other routes really isn't much like the way she's portrayed in her own. She comes off as a flaky extraterrestrial in the other routes, but in her own playthrough, she is much deeper and more tragic.
I'd give it a shot.

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
I really hope that things work out for you and your wife(especially with her MS), hopefully modern medicine can do so much as help her try to maintain a good life. One of my best friend's mothers has MS and it's in the early stages and It's not an easy dose to handle for anyone. We can only hope ...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
I haven't told her yet, i will on Saturday, but I will definitely take a break. I will focus on myself this one time... i've thought about it every second since that talk with her and just now I came to the conclusion, that it will probably be best, for both of us. If, after a few weeks or months ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
However, lifting isn't for everyone. Biggest factor is time. Others have school, job(s), a family to care for and hobbies that it makes it difficult to find time to drive to a gym and lift. But I'm lovin' the praise for weight trainning. What you say is true. It's definitely great for women to do ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
If youre a dude, do some weight lifting. If youre a girl, do weight lifting anyways its even better for you ^.^ Agreed. I don't know where this idea came from that frequent jogging is somehow fantastic for your health. It always amazes me when I meet these marathon-addict types who have the ...

Re: Rin and autism
Guys, Rin's medical problem isn't autism. It's that she's missing arms.
I know, I know, I'm a genius. No need to thank me for clearing that up.

Re: Almost done playing the game, current thoughts
It's funny you should say that, because I thought that Rin's path really wasn't like her other appearances, and not in an appealing way. In Act 1 and other paths, Rin's oddity is mostly played for comedy, but in her own path it's much darker. It seems like a deconstruction of the Cloudcukoolander ...

Re: Almost done playing the game, current thoughts
I liked Emi the best because she inspired Hisao to stop being a little bitch, work out and get ripped. Well, not really the last one--he has all the muscle tone of a halfway recovered concentration camp victim in every scene--but at least he's proactive about his own health and hopefully somewhere ...

Re: Rin and autism
I know. But that the ambiguity exists at all is enough to take the final say away from the author (or rather, eliminate the notion of a "final say" altogether).

Re: Rin and autism
Even if the developers had stated outright that Rin is not autistic, it would mean nothing. Creators don't have interpretational fiat over their own works; death of the author, and all that. Hell, Ray Bradbury thinks that Fahrenheit 451 is about TV undermining literature rather than censorship, but ...
