Re: Adaptive technology
So the primary meaning is a voluntary turning off of the sound, but the dictionary meaning, so often quoted here as proof (unable to) is only the secondary meaning? The primary meaning is the incorrect one. ... What? I told everyone the perception of the word as it stands to day, after multiple pos...

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic. Like, really really sarcastic. And I agree with him. It's why I don't like Shizune. Even if you don't get the Bad End, most of that stuff is still true.

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Now that you mention Kenji... I have a pretty interesting headcanon about Kenji, inspired by some comments he makes during his second scene. The first one is "...this is one of the dark secrets of this school." and then "I also have a list of the other dark and complex conspiracies th...

Re: Terminology debate - "mute" versus "voice-off"
I say obscure because I've only seen it in definitions, usually in the tertiary or further removed definition. Additionally, all three of the links you posted up answer the question "Is it acceptable to use the term deaf-mute, deaf and dumb, or hearing impaired?" Only the third link single...

Re: Terminology debate - "mute" versus "voice-off"
They use it because it is the correct term. It isn't, and that's why we're discussing this. Now here I can definitively say you're wrong. Googling "define mute" gives me this: "refraining from speech or temporarily speechless" Dictionary.com uses the definition "silent; ref...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
I'd say you should block everything she could do to contact you (block her facebook, phone, email, etc...) if you feel you can. I don't need to. It's been about a year since I told her to never contact me again, and she has listened. In my opinion she is a very bad person, but she also understands ...

Re: Terminology debate - "mute" versus "voice-off"
In fact i've not met anyone Deaf who prefers to be known as "Voice-off" This is almost the entireity of my argument. That coupled with the fact that I can only find obscure references to 'mute' being offensive. I don't doubt that there are deaf people who take offense to the term mute, bu...

Azumeow, I can't imagine what you're feeling. I know what it's like to love and lose someone (I'll get to that) and it isn't fun. I do think it'd be a good idea if you guys never reconnected though, it's been my observation and experience that when there is that much animosity and frustration/histor...

Re: Act I with random choices - Probabilities
I'm not sure I made myself understood though. Understatement of the year. I understood that as if you try to get one girl, then it's not random. ...and that is correct. If you're trying for a specific girl, then you wont make random choices. Surely I did not act 100 % random Correctamundo. You said...

Sure the anatomy looks a little wonky, but it doesn't really detract from the piece as a whole. And like you said, you're practicing.

Trains are used a lot more commonly in Japan than most other countries, since it's such a compact place. I might be wrong, but I think it's the primary mode of transportation for most Japanese, although that depends largely on how you define "train"

Re: Act I with random choices - Probabilities
I had to look up a flowchart to even get to her route. Seriously? I got Rin the first time I ever played Katawa Shoujo, and I wasn't even going for her. In the end knowing what % of getting each route with random choices, serves little to no point to the average reader imo . Sure, but it's interest...
