I have a GTX 770, managed to fix it.

For future reference if anyone has the same problem, I went into NVIDIA control panel and changed the scaling from "display" to "GPU".

I've played ks on my old windows 7 laptop and fullscreen worked fine, the game kept it's aspect ratio with black bars on the sides of the screen. However I'm now trying to play it on my windows 8.1 pc, and when I go to fullscreen the game stretches to fill my entire monitor which obviously makes it ...
