Re: Intentions

It's a very interesting story so far, a tale told well. Nurse is Kaneshiro-san eh? Thank you! :)

Re: Secret Santa 2023 - Story collection

Victim: brythain
Prompt: "A restaurant scene in which one cast member is introducing others to a cuisine (or dish) that they have never tasted before. And it's Christmas."

I went ahead changed "Christmas" to "Holiday season" because I'm late as usual. In my defense I actually worked on Christmas ...

Re: Yamaku: The Next Generation (Updated: 12/7/2023)

I looked up the etymology of "dumpling", and apparently the original (17th century) word referred to "a small lump of dough cooked by simmering or steaming." I guess by that definition Spätzle would be dumplings, but then so would all kinds of pasta - except for Israeli Couscous, because that ...

Re: Secret Santa 2022 - Story collection

Quite late, and perhaps a little less to the letter of the prompt than may have been desired (yes, I may have misread the prompt a little), but it is what it is.

Father Knows Best

It's good, is what it is. A lot better (IMO) than my own poor offering, the 2022 Secret Santa piece I wrote for ...

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#73—'Stripping')

This one was written for the 2022 Secret Santa project initiated by ProfAllister. Apologies for extreme lateness. My cat died in late 2022 and this piece failed to get written for a long time.

Victim: ProfAllister

Prompt: Several cast members are somewhere isolated (e.g., snowed-in cabin ...

Re: An Empty Space Where a Person Should Go (SS21 For Brythain)

Oh this is a lovely, lovely piece. It is so much better than I could have imagined, and gave me unexpected pangs of... longing? at some points. The Taro/Saki thing, for one. And all the cast appearances. And Suzu, written in a way that made me feel such empathy for her.

This is a classic, mate. I ...

Re: Shizune's route consensus over 10 years later?

One of the things I like to speculate on was how long Misha could have held unrequited love for Shizune, and how long Shizune might have held unrequited love for Hisao, if things had turned out in a specific way. That led me to... what would have happened if only one of those things obtained and the ...

Re: Shizune's route consensus over 10 years later?

I think of Shizune's route as the 'dark side' of Lilly's route. Both taken together would have provided the most interesting story ever if such a thing were possible at all. This is because the two are supposedly blood relatives and hence mirror each other: one dark, one light etc... oldest myth of ...

From me to Lap for 2021 (finally, sorry)!

Have a story about a cold night and warm food, and maybe something extra.

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#72—'Blizzard')

This one was written for the 2021 Secret Santa project initiated by ProfAllister.

Victim: Lap

Prompt: A blizzard strikes just before winter holidays, and although most students have already left for the winter, a few are trapped at school together, trying to make the best of a bad situation ...

Re: Kenji's Secret Files (upd 20220525 'RedJack')

In the regular files, not the fragments, you present Kenji in an interesting way. He seems less like his typical paranoid self and more along the lines of a Lovecraft protagonist. Somebody calm and serious, but who has seem some real nasty stuff and is slowly loosing his grip. It's an interesting ...

Re: Interlude (20200823)

The world seems to have drifted apart into icebergs—some large, some small, all cold. I have always wondered why, to so many of my communicants from the AtD-verse, it is as if the SARS-CoV-2 virus had never existed. And yet, as I sit in this corner, setting up for yet another Zoom session, I ...
