Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
It's a bit disingenuous to advance something written a century and a half ago as an example to be followed. Poe's writing was a product of his time, but such things have been well out of fashion since the early twentieth century at latest. Not to get bogged down too much in this discussion; or at le...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
Comma splicing may be unneccessary but it is not an error. And tree bark is edible, but I don't see many people snacking on it. "Not an error" is not the same as "correct." don't think they impair readability either, though. Let's just say you and I disagree on that point. There...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
There are only about 34 instances left in the entire 450.000 word story. Which is 34 too many. It's extremely amateurish and quite jarring to read. I'm not going to harp on this any further because it's been said enough, but suffice to say it's not something that should ever be used. As for the gra...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
Well, I finished it. Took me a week, but I don't have as much free time as some of the other folks around here I'd wager. I really liked the original (though it did have it's flaws) and it was hard for me to imagine where you'd go after that. This was, uh, not what I expected. I didn't take any note...

@ksfan: If he's just messing with Hisao, why is he just as weird when Hisao's not around? He built a room fort, stole a bunch of crypto-whatever books from the library... He tells Hisao he built a room fort. Hisao never sees it. Nor does anyone else to my knowledge. He also dated Yuuko, so tha...

Re: Kenji
I personally choose to believe that Kenji is just messing with Hisao. He just keeps getting more outrageous to see how far he can push the dopey new kid before he calls him on it, and Hisao keeps taking him seriously. Most of what he says almost seems as if it's made up on the spot, and it makes wha...

No longer true as of 4E. These days a Paladin is someone who champions a deity. Kenji is obviously a champion for the god of Manliness.Steinherz wrote:Need to be Lawful Good to be a Paladin.

Re: Ask!
Generally speaking I respond in the manner in which I'm addressed. I do sometimes let my rather acerbic sense of humour get the better of me, and I can be good enough to offer an apology for that. I'll refrain from expressing my opinion further on the subject of "Misha route" fan fiction, ...

Re: Ask!
I'm having trouble picturing a Misha route. In my head it would go something like this:
"Hisao: Misha, you should be my girlfriend."
"Misha: Are you secretly a girl?"
"Hisao: No."
"Misha: I'll pass."
Roll credits.

Re: When did misha start to like girls and who does she suit
Why would being bisexual diminish her character and the setting? Because part of what makes Misha (and her storyline, and by extension, the VN) an interesting and compelling character is that she's not just waiting for Our Plucky Protagonist to come along and stick it in. She's living her own life ...

Re: When did misha start to like girls and who does she suit
She's pretty gay. Hisao's just too thick to realize it until he gets flat out told about it. I'd love to know what he's supposed to have picked up on prior to being told the backstory… Other characters are seem to have done so. Context cues are worth a lot, and Misha doesn't seem to be making a lot...
