My guess is that your previous version of KS was 1.0. The new, 1.1 version, used Ren'Py 6.15 and allows for Retina & full screen. 10.5.8 may just be too old.

I have a MacBook running on 10.5.8
I have played Katawa Shoujo before on this mac but deleted it. I just recently DDL'd it from the official site (again) and even tried the Torrent, but I keep receiving an error message saying http://i39.tinypic.com/2hpqfzo.jpg
