Well, there's this, but it wasn't on the market in 2007. However, even with that system, a mold of the limb has to be made.I still have no idea if the adjustable prosthetics are a thing or not. They seem like they ought to be, though. Does anyone here know, praytell?

Re: Yamaku Book Club
Thinking about the answer to my own question. 10,000-20,000 words feels about right. Like brythain said, the type of material would dictate the minimum length. For example, a psuedo-route would need more "words" to have enough material to be able to be hold a meaningful discussion than wou...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
That is true, however, I was under the (perhaps mistaken) impression that these book club discussions were intended to provide some deeper reflection on part or all of a fan fiction, as opposed to simply drawing attention to a particular work. The comments that come between chapters in most threads...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
I think that a "finished works only" rule makes sense, as active works tend to get screen-time (on the first page) anyway.
Also, on the topic of Mirage analyzing his on work, for some reason, I want to now compare him to Kurt Vonnegut.

Re: BlackWaltz's One-stop Oneshot Shop (New: 25th Feb)
It is an interesting thought, a "hello" letter instead of a "goodbye" letter. It's a nice afterthought, if you will, that in a good-end scenario, Hisao comes to terms with his past with Iwanako and reconnects in some small way. Anyway, I couldn't help wonder who the girlfriend in...

Re: Kagami Pseudo-Route [Anniversary Oneshot Added 2/24]
Don't drink the haterade. I, actually think the one-shot was very well written. However: There’s something that seems very sad about all of this. I just wish I could remember for the life of me what it is. If a sad forgetfulness is best possible outcome of a Hisao/Kagami relationship (i.e. a good e...

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 2/23/2014}
I get that the tea thing comes off as a little weird, but from where I stand, the alternative is a scenario in which Lilly would drink tea out of Styrofoam cups. However unbelievable it is that Lilly would carry around a small tea pot and three cups, it is, to me, significantly more unbelievable th...

Re: Kagami Pseudo-Route [Anniversary Oneshot Added 2/24]
Assuming you're doing multiple endings -- in the spirit of a pseudo-route -- your anniversary one shot has all the feel(s) of a bad-end epilogue. Or at least I hope it is the bad-end epilogue, heavens help us if it's the good-end one.

I got though Stephen King's The Stand, which is between 460,000 and 520,000 words, in about that amount of time. Admittedly, it was a one time feat, and I didn't sleep that much that day (or for the next week... ).How the hell did you read 440,000 words in 8 hours?

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 2/23/2014}
It seems that any criticism, good or bad has already been said. I would add that your Iwanako's reaction echos a thought I had about her trying to reconnect with Hisao in a post-Lilly good end scenario: "Oh My God! I have to compete with her!??! I knew this would be a bad idea..."

Re: Yamaku Book Club
Maybe the reason Miki routes never get completed is because she doesn't seem to have any kind of really complex anxieties or issues and it never feels organic to try and give her any. She seems more like an "action" love interest, the kind of girl Hisao would fall in love with as they wer...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 2/14)
I'm also enjoying the story very much. Especially this line: “They get here, they run into people who try to treat them like they're made of glass, and they shut down. They never accept what happens because people around them keep trying to sweep it under the rug like it never happened. So they feel...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 34 up 2/
I figure Misha ships whoever Hisao is with in every route (except Shizune). It seems to me that Misha is more interested in Hisao not being the sad sack he was when he arrived at Yamaku than in who he's dating. Also, if you can pair off the potential competition, so much the better... :wink: I gues...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 34 up 2/
Wouldn't it be strange if Hanako ended up playing the wingman for Emi the way Shizune is apparently playing it for Lilly? Interesting idea, but I don't think that could happen. If it were to happen, it wouldn't be the [c]overt manipulations that Shizune favors; but, rather, a "Y-you go g-girl!...
