Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180128 'Constant Companion' by darrin)
... I feel like I should have an image or logo or something to announce new posts. Anybody want to make me one or have any suggestions? Here, try this out for size. Always willing to change it if need be (I know it is a bit loud at the moment). Anyways, regarding Constant Companion : I agree with w...

Re: Innumerable Fits — Naomi Pseudo Route [11/25/17]
Finally got around to reading this one a week or so ago, only just got around to typing everything up now, partly because of real life stuff and partly because I kind of wanted to organize my thoughts. I knew after finishing this story that I'd need some time to figure out what best to say, because ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180114 'Some Lilly Scene' by Lulz)
I won't go into how this contrasts with the canon, because it's not my strong point. This leaves me with not much to talk about, given how short the story was. It was certainly sad, no doubt about that. The initial part about Shizune trying to get something out of Misha was so-so, not really that ba...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180114 'Some Lilly Scene' by Lulz)
On update frequency, i was thinking a week for any one-shot story, 2 weeks for anything 5 chapters or shorter (give or take) and if we ever do one of those mega huge long stories, at least a month for the main story, while we do short one-shots at the same time. For the time being though, I want to...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180114 'Some Lilly Scene' by Lulz)
This last update in this topic was July so I'm taking over now. Consider this a mutiny. Consider my timbers shivered. Oh and it seems Aura did kill off Niji somewhere in the meantime :-) He may be dead, but somewhere, to the disdain of many, the Nijiposting lives on... Some Lilly Scene by Lulz a ve...

Excellent work! I'll admit, I was a bit worried by the universe changes when you first mentioned them, but they proved to be a nonissue.
You did a really good job setting a bad scene that led up to a good ending, which always plucks at my heartstrings - no shame in saying I enjoyed this one!

Re: "The New Year" S8 Submission: For - WillDFly
Absolutely brilliant imagery and vocabulary - you crafted an excellent set of scenes. The plot was interesting, and although I first felt something was up when the main character looked through a window "into" the glow (and "the dog I don't remember getting", of course), it still...

Re: Our Holiday Vacation — 8S Submission
I've said before (though perhaps not on this forum) that a really well-done Shizune story can be absolutely amazing. I wasn't a huge fan of her in-game route, but I love the directions other people have taken her - maybe it's just a sense of "doing the character justice", but for whatever ...

Re: A One-Shot: From Time (8S/ Secret Santa '17)
I quite enjoyed this little Christmas story, and see what you mean when you say you almost wanted to go further. Admittedly, the first timeskip was a bit jarring, and when I first read it I felt like you should've added something to denote it, but as the story went on I found myself coming to like t...

Re: Two Turtledoves (Lilly x Hisao S8 oneshot)
Okay, I'm a little biased, but I found this really heartwarming and comfy. Just a couple, going out to a mall, hand in hand... I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, and you wrote it very well. What I don't think is just my personal preference, however, the incredible job you did with your characteriz...

Re: Fresh Snow - S8 Submission
I absolutely loved reading this. It was everything I wanted out of a Christmas story: comfy and enjoyable, without being over-the-top (though I suppose that's subjective). Your characters were great, you set up scenes with excellent visuals, and in general this was just a very good read. If I have o...

Part 3
Hisao gently stroked Emi’s head, his fingers making small parts in her flowing hair. They were laying on the living room couch, with her back pressed against his stomach, and he could feel her breathe in and out. She wasn’t asleep, but he could tell that she wasn’t far off, especially given how rela...

Part 2
Emi woke up slowly, coming into consciousness step by step, her nose picking up the scent of food being cooked. Her room was bathed in a distinct soft light - it was cloudy outside. This reminded her of the snow, which reminded her of what day it was: Christmas. She sat up in bed excitedly before re...

Dark Winter Sky (S8)
Merry Christmas, everyone! You may or may not have heard about a small festive event known as “ S8 ”, which is basically a ‘secret santa’ where the gifts are short stories , each written by a writer on this forum. I couldn’t possibly turn down such a fun and interesting idea, so I joined in - my sto...

Re: Black Iris (Update 11/20)
I haven't gotten a chance to read much over the past month, but when I got back and saw you had posted a new story I knew I couldn't just leave it untouched - and I must say, this was an excellent piece to come back to. No obgious SpaG issues, which is always a plus, but more importantly, I loved ho...
