Re: For Want of a Nail - Misha Route (Updated 7/5/18)
I still would've preferred that this conversation happen with a more understanding character - Natsume comes to mind. Well what do you know? She was a bit forward, but overall a lot more understanding, at least from my point of view. I like the contrast - Hisao's no longer fighting internally betwe...

Re: When the Puddles Dry - Post Rin Neutral/True Ending Epilogue, One Shot(?)
Nice and simple. The ending is a bit cheesy and rather obvious, but I don't think that should be held against you. Hisao's internal monologue was very well-done, in my opinion - the excess focus and artistic viewpoint convey his emotions perfectly.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180803 Gamble of Life)
This story was... not all bad. The core plot point - that is, Hanako and Hisao both dwelling on one moment, having something so momentary and specific eat away at them as they try to live normal lives - is good. While I do think many elements of this story were pointless/extraneous, I believe that a...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Act 3 Completed 8/20)
Naming your acts after launch sequence elements, and including Sagan quotes? You're a man after my own heart. It was pretty obvious, before the chapter even started, that it was going to be a big, rough, emotional one - and you absolutely didn't disappoint. Saki's perspective on death made sense, an...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180820 Blue Haired Girls)
Nice and quaint. The girls were really well-written, and their interaction was pretty much as expected - which was the main selling point of the story, in my opinion. The two of them bouncing off of each other is guaranteed to be interesting if written well, and interesting it was. Overall, I found ...

Re: Black Iris (A Rin Epilogue; Update 8/8/2018)
Not exactly the direction I was expecting this chapter to go, but certainly one I had considered. I especially liked the ending, where neither Yumi nor Rin are happy, but for opposite reasons. This chapter fit the flow of the story really well, in my opinion, and had some important elements that dis...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180806 Oddball's Triple Decker)
Shopping Trip I quite liked this one - no real surprises, but well-done nonetheless. Anxiety, a small but repressed desire to belong, the terrifying reality of social interaction, and a comfy ending to top it all off. I identified with more of this story than I expected to. I will say, however, tha...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Some One-Shots)
Fire and Ashes was meh, imo. It's a really difficult premise to pull off, which involves striking a balance between "too dramatic" and "underwhelming". I found it to be on the "underwhelming" side, possibly due to the rather simple language: the characters' thoughts we...

Re: Dreamy
One of the things I really loved in each of these was how you took subtle nuances from every girl's route or personality and cranked them up to eleven. It was fun to read how you interpreted the things you picked out - especially with Shizune and Rin and those are the two girls that are the most te...

Contact Light (3/3)
After a full meal, the sky outside began to turn red, and Hisao and I caught the bus back to Yamaku. He ended up getting the window seat, so he’s enjoying a view of the sunset. At least, I think he is - maybe he’s lost in thought, like I was on the way here. Either way, I want to experience it with ...

Contact Light (2/3)
I look at my phone again: 10 minutes until I have to meet Hisao. I double check that I have everything I need, then take a deep breath. Something about getting ready like this always makes me nervous, and I’m not entirely sure why. Deciding that the best way to move past it is just to get going, I h...

Contact Light (1/3)
>Contact Light< “Alright, that’s about as much as I can handle. Let’s call it here.” For the third time in as many days, Hisao and I exhale deeply at Suzu’s words, glad to finally be escaping the library. We’ve gotten a lot of work and studying done, that’s for sure, but even the science-loving boy...

Re: COM(promise) - A Miki Route (Updated Sep 5th, 2017)
My, how time flies. I actually had most of this chapter done many months ago, but I took a few months off, first to write Dark Winter Sky for the S8 event, then to write Dreamy , which took way longer than I expected it to. However, I feel much more confident in myself after writing those pieces - t...

Re: For Want of a Nail - Misha Route (Updated 7/5/18)
A good chapter, overall. Emi and Natsume were very well-written, and I really enjoyed both of their parts. Keiko, however, just felt off to me, partly when discussing her "deal" with the student council (which itself made very little sense to me), but mostly when talking about the letter. ...
