Re: Random KS Discussion
A bit random, but during the transition between scenes, with the heart and logo appearing and disappearing from scene, I find myself tracing the heart with the pointer of my mouse. Am I the only one? I tend to move my index finger in a circle to follow that "wiping" line on the heart. That ...

Re: Why are you still here and enjoying KS after all this ti
I may not be a regular on this site at all, but I still enjoy KS for a variety of reasons: the memorable cast, the awesome music, and above all else, the life lessons to be found in its well-crafted stories. Heck, right now it's even making me consider getting back into voice acting (I like to ...

Re: Has anybody here played this while having a RL girlfrien
I did not have a girlfriend when I first played KS, which was about two years ago (almost to the week). However, mid-last year I did meet this one girl online (call her "M" for now). We've become good friends at this point, but can't really advance much further than that until certain rl issues get ...

Re: If it were real!
Actually, the main reason to get the good ending first is because you'll be feeling like a dick if you get the bad ending first. I got her bad ending first myself, but truth be told I felt like I was railroaded into it more than anything else. Not that I didn't understand the message of the bad ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Having no Internet for a week sucks, especially when you have another update to post in here. Managed to pull off those three consecutive 5K runs last week, so now I can say that I've successfully completed the couch-to-5K challenge. I don't feel ready yet to go beyond 5K, but I can definitely try ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Guess I didn't have much to worry about after all. My legs felt better on the asphalt today, and I got to 5K for the first time in over a week. Not that I had much choice with surfaces though, it's literally asphalt/concrete vs. grass where I live now (no dirt paths to speak of). Regarding my shoes ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
This was certainly a bad week by my standards. Wasn't able to go 5K on any of my three sessions this week, mainly due to a sharper than usual pain in my right leg, which I suspect might be the makings of a shin splint. It's not bad enough where I feel it all the time though, just when I'm running on ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I did it! My first 5K run! Not sure what else to say, I'm just so glad I finally got this done. Week 9 will be a bit skewed though, since I'll be moving next week and need to scout for another good running spot.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
All right, a new personal best! 4.5K completed in one run, so Week 7 is finally down. I can almost taste the 5K mark. Though if the current condition of my legs is any indication, it's a good thing I stopped where I did. I might have injured something if I tried to go 5K earlier than I planned.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I typically hold off posting my progress until the end of the week, unless something notable comes up. Everyone has their own preferences, of course. But if all goes as planned, my next update will be a big one for me. And I run quite fast, but I was wondering-because Emi sprints during her ...

Re: Yamaku student body, architecture, etc.
Feel free to talk about the Japanese education system too (in contrast to Western ones) or other related stuff, I don't know. Then I hope you don't mind if I add a question of my own. What are those important exams about? Do those mark the end of the term? Initially I thought they marked the end of ...

Re: Which girl do you think will age the best?
Emi is the easy answer here. If Meiko is any indication, Emi's got the genes for it on top of her usual exercise. Even if injuries were to stop her from running, she can still keep up a good diet to compensate. I feel like I should say something about the whole "ectomorphic body type" thing. Even if ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I prefer to keep myself aware of my surroundings while running. I know some songs that match my running speed, so I just play those in my head to both keep my legs in rhythm and to help pass the time. Normally I'd do DDR/PIU at least once a week as well, but the local arcade closed down some months ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Finally, 4Ks down. It helps that I'm able to get my body into a good rhythm within the first mile or so, as it keeps my mind better prepared for those greater distances. I think my body is also in better shape this time than when I first managed 4Ks over a year ago. My breathing is definitely not an ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I think I've hit another turning point in my training. I'm now able to do 2-mile runs consistently, and my breathing skills are keeping up with the greater distances just fine. Things are looking good so far for another attempt at 4K this weekend.
