Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...
Are you sure about that? Japan's uptight as hell.
Thats certainly what I've heard. Its all about conformity and fitting in. Seems rather dull actually.
To an extent, yeah, but also, not really. It's kind of complicated. It's sort of... the Japanese are hyper polite and reserved most of ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo 2 Cancelled
Very funny. I especially like the over-the-top crippled girl.
I cracked at "A harem ending, a harem ending, a harem ending".
Me too. :D
At least we got some sweet artwork out of the deal. Shame there aren't names to go with them though, so we can work them into our fanfics. :)

Re: Forgetting about the 'Katawa' part
The fact that we only see her from the waste up for 90% of the game helps too. :)
From the waste up...? Would that be like those Rin in a Bin pictures Xanatos keeps posting?
Ahem, sorry, I couldn't help myself. But on topic, yeah, the disabilities are the frame for KS, but it focuses more on ...

Scotland is more Catholic, I believe. The Irish and Scots are traditionally the Catholics.
Actually, while it's true that Ireland and Scotland are traditionally Catholic, and Ireland remains overwhelmingly Catholic, Scotland largely converted to Protestantism in the mid 1500s and is about 40 ...

Re: KS is awesome and Hi
And then Shiz- oh wait, this one sucked hard, nevermind. Am I the only one who enjoyed every route? Including Shizune's?
Seriously.
I liked Shizune's root quite a bit. It's by far the funniest, mainly because it has so much Kenji and Jigoro. Jigoro... might be my favorite secondary character ...

Wow, this must be the best thing I've seen for a long time. I'm really surprised that she learned how to speak and interpret speech while deaf, I didn't realize that could be done (its me living under a rock).
Thanks for the link :D .

Re: 2012 /v/GAs
Eh, these awards seem to pretty tongue-in-cheek (like, there is no "best game" there's just a "least worst game"), so the negative awards don't bother me. And some of those are pretty positive. Second in best writing? KS beat out some damn fine games in that category. 4th in least worst (or best, as ...

Re: Birthday!
Something compelled me to make this.
For Rin's birthday, I'd get her a hood like this. If she asked why, I'd get a disturbingly intense look on my face and whisper "...Why not?"

Re: "Hustle and Bustle" - Hisao
It's not really surprising. Most writers have these little ticks if you look closely enough. That's just one of Suriko's, I guess. I noticed one myself as I was playing through. Suriko has a tendency to use verb nominalizations even when there's a noun that most people would use instead. Mutou had a ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Music Index and Table of Contents
Dang, that's impressive. I love how you went all out and catalogued things so precisely.
One note: For "Focus" you list "No idea!" I'm 98% sure that song never appears in the game. It was, however, used as the music for this awesome release trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8Um3ZsL3tQ

Urg. I typed up this post, pressed preview, and got booted to the sign-in screen. I had to retype the whole thing, and I don't think I phrased it quite as clearly in a few places, but I just can't remember how it was different the first time.

The other thread got derailed, and I'd hate to put an end to a good derailing.
How would you take advantage of Kenji? :D
Wear nothing but a bra and panties, walk into his room with a toy knife (the one that retracts into the handle when you "stab" someone) while he's sleeping, watch the ...

If you carry on like this, she's liable to think you only befriended her because you pit–– I mean, want to apply lotion to her back.
