Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
I can see her turning to alcohol or drugs to deaden the pain. Based on...What? She's shown no tendency toward drug abuse or alcoholism (and no, her drunken birthday doesn't count). Did I miss the whole point of this discussion? I thought we were doing a "What if?" type situation. If Hanak...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
People do kill themselves when they feel they've got nothing worth living for. I could see it as a possibilty if Lily or Hisao had never come into her life. I mean, who else was there? While I'm sure the thought has crossed her mind a few times, I don't believe she would act on it. Like I said, her...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
If anything, it makes them do the opposite. Her parents died for her to live, so while she sees herself as a burden to society she will continue to live for their sakes.Xanatos wrote: And the fact that real people unexpectedly off themselves doesn't make Hanako suicidal...

I'm fearing that if this topic keeps going, Tsu will spring out of nowhere at a really bad time. I don't mean it in any bad way. I know, but I saw it that Tsu did take it offensively on that one thread. It's going to be on my mind whenever someone discusses anything about genders on the forums now,...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
I don't see Hanako as suicidal either The signs of suicide can easily be hidden. The guy who took photos of the starvation in Africa hanged himself 6 months after he returned to America. Everyone was taken by surprise because he was proud of opening the eyes of the world. He felt the guilt about li...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
If there was any real danger to any of their health, they would still be in hospital. Given that they have all been released from professional care at some point, one must understand that this means their health is no longer a concern - Not in the critical condition I agree. But they are still far ...

Well, since mental conditions are out, I'll stick with physical.

Re: Blindness
Yes, they can. The only parts of the eyes that are disabled for a blind person is the rods and cones inside, which gather light and transmit the data to the brain. It depends, actually. Could be the retina, could be the part of the brain which processes such data. As long as one part malfunctions, ...

Re: If you witnessed someone bullying Hanako...
Shit, son. That's rough. Which I know doesn't do your situation justice at all, but I don't know if anything I could come up with to say would really capture just how terrible of an experience that is, particularly without sounding lame and detached. And I can absolutely understand you not wanting ...

I love Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra(hurry up Seasons 2-4). April's the rumored start of season two. Ok. I figured sometime in Spring. i must know: can blind people cry? like shedding tears?? Yes, they can. The only parts of the eyes that are disabled for a blind person...

Re: Blindness
Hmm, interesting theory. Although, I haven't realized that in any media I've seen. For example: Toph from Avatar the Last Airbender. (Yes, it's a Nickelodeon cartoon and it's one of my favorites so shut up! :P) She's blind, but she's nothing like how you described. She's kind of a bad ass. She's al...

Holy crap. Ah, wow. I never thought I'd meet someone with that sort of experience, even over the internet. I absolutely don't want to pry, but have you told your story somewhere? If so, I'd be interested in knowing more, just because... Well, lets be honest, part of it is just the perverse interest...
