Re: The great fan fiction archive
Mostly, it's a silly superstition, but the track record for Miki routes speaks for itself; it's a race fraught with false starts, incomplete relays, and ankle-breaking obstacles (on a literary level). Nobody has ever completed a pseudo-route centering on a Miki relationship (OC or otherwise ...

Re: The great fan fiction archive
As for the reasons:
Alphabetization doesn't cause any problems now but I can see people deliberately modifying their titles so they go to the top of the list. If people think it will get more people to read and comment on their fic, what is to stop people from deliberately naming their fics to ...

Re: The great fan fiction archive
This is a mammoth project but I can't help thinking it could be organised better for easier viewing.
For starters, quite a bit of the information for a fic is on one line, which makes it difficult to easily see a specific piece of data quickly, instead having to look along the appropriate line and ...

Re: Summer By The Sea [A sorta-sequel to Weekend at Hisao's]
I really enjoy these Shizune fics, and I especially enjoyed Weekend at Hisao's.
I like your portrayal of Shizune. From reading the VN, this seems to be well within the character instead of writing her as some ice queen dominatrix bitch.
On a semi-unrelated note, can someone explain the 'Miki ...

Ok, just thought it might be worth mentioning. I'm also trying to get accustomed to 'sardonically' without misreading it as 'sardine-ically'
Also, in Ch 22 and 28A, you use 'baited breath' instead of 'bated breath'. It's a contraction of the word 'abated' whereas 'baited' is a completely ...

Yes, and I have to agree with you on that, they're of absolutely no u'spandaphil wrote:British English? That's the one with lots of unnecessary 'u's isn't it?

Re: Hanako/Hisao post-Yamaku fics (Updated 6/3/13)
Feh. Real English proofreaders use .38 Saturday Night Specials for that - and favor the CMOS.
Real English? Wouldn't that just be plain old British English instead of the American English the CMOS uses?

Re: Tomorrow's Doom ~ Up: 08/16/13 ~ C.40 - Summer Lull
I'm up to chapter 15 now and still really liking the story (despite my ever present distrust of most OC stories) but there are still a few errors. Can I ask if you have proofreader?

Re: Tomorrow's Doom ~ Up: 08/16/13 ~ C.40 - Summer Lull
All of the typos are in the first three chapters and I believe they are in chronological order. Hopefully they are easy enough to find with Ctrl +F.
Haven't got further than that. Only another 37 chapters to go

Only read the first few chapter but it's great so far. :D

Re: Hanako/Hisao post-Yamaku fics (Updated 6/3/13)
...in our stocking or bare feet.
Not quite sure what went wrong here. Stockings are typically worn on both feet, necessitating the use of the plural 'stockings'. You wouldn't say 'in sock or bare feet'.
Due to the 'or' you've put that, it might be as well to say 'stockinged' feet if you are ...

Loving this so far. Noticed a few typos scattered around the chapters though.
(Also, is coffee really safe for Hisao? I thought it was supposed to cause short term effects in the heart or something...)
All she can do is nod, starign at the floor.

Anyways, I think that some changes feels like a fresh start and they keep you going for longer, before you sink into your routines again.
A routine is just something you do. If you try something new but don't stick to it, it isn't really a routine.
The hardest part about a routine is changing it ...

It is never mentioned if misha have a disability or not, although I can't remember In what route it is but hisao does mention that everyone without mental disabilities can come to Yamaku.

I like trying new things, but sometimes I'm the kind of person that has difficulties accommodating to/with new situations, things, etc.
Your last paragraph really says something for me, and it might help me settle with things a bit more, so I must thank you for your words.
