Actually Some if the best fics here are either about OCs or characters that barely appear in the game, so it's not like you've said about ruining loved characters, but I guess that it's your choice whether you want to read it or not.

There are some really good fanfics here, you should check out some of them even if you are not a bg fan of them.

Yeah, quality control could not be a good idea in this, however, there could w diffent sort of "fic of the week" thing which I have seen in different places.
So, what now? Anyone else have an opinion on the matter?

Categorizing all of the fics on the forums could be a little too much work for one man, maybe someone could help the maintainer, or a group of people, by filling out the catogry thing I made here, and then pm it to him. It just seems unrealistic for one person to read all of the fics here and catego...

Only the fics that the authors themselves suggest if anything.

Yes I have. Name: Author: Type: (fan route, oneshot, poem, etc.) Genre: this could be a lot of things, and romance could be combined with other things. Main characters: here it could be specified if its an OC fic Status: (completed, in progress, dead fic etc.) Length: this could be either word count...

It means that you can't say stuff like "keep it up!" because it's a request, I once got a warning for it

Hmm, yeah I can see what you mean. But in that case then there should be rules on how to make a suggestion, just saying "please put ficnamexyz" should not be allowed, and instead every suggestion should include the name of the fic, author, genre, etc. it would make the categorization a lot...

That's ok, but should they be pm'ing the request or just post them on the thread? I think that instead of taking everyone's favorites, people should be able to suggest all the time, otherwise thy will only suggest fics that already exist, and all new fics will be left out. If this actually approved ...

Still, any suggestion of a fic must be pm'd to one of the people who manage the page, that way the thread itself won't be full of suggestions.

I think it should be a recommendation page, as prof aliaster said, because the whole point of it was to uncover buried gems, and by just taking all of the fics and putting it in one place would be no better then what we have.
