Re: Blame (Post-Shizune Bad End Misha route) (Complete)
For the most part this is a very strong story. I think I actually like Shizune MORE here than in the actually visual novel as odd as it may seem. Much of that has to due with how her bad behavior is actually viewed as bad behavior and has consequences. She doesn't just say she'll change and ...

Re: For Want of a Nail - Misha Route (New Chapter 1/18)
And from a fanfic writing point of view, he's really fun to write for. Agreed, he's extremely fun to write. :D It's like, as long as you don't intend to take him seriously, it's impossible to get things too weird when it comes to Kenji. This chapter is a good as example of that, actually. (Well ...

I wonder how many people can guess where this "adult content disabled" Kenji scene originates from...BlackWaltzTheThird wrote:TL;DR: Hisao rooting Misha is canon, Kenji KO-ing Misha is a joke post.

Re: KS Fanfiction archive - Submit your works!
Yeah, sounds like a reasonable compromise to me as well. Although I'd suggest you retain "The" and capitalize "L". ("The Yamaku Library - A fan fiction archive")dewelar wrote:This works for me.Comrade wrote:"Yamaku library-a fan fiction archive"

Re: KS Fanfiction archive - Submit your works!
I'd just like to add that since the thread is not stickied right now (and it's uncertain whether it'll be stickied in the future), the name should tell the readers that this is a fanfiction library/archive instead of a simple fanfiction thread itself. "The Yamaku Library" is an awesome name, for ...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Updated as of 8/31]
Imagine my surprise when I look at the clock and realize that, as of now, the Akira route has been in progress for exactly a year, give or take a few hours. You gotta be kidding me. Why? O_o It's not that unusual for fics of this length to take up a year or more to write. If anything, Thanatos02's ...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Updated as of 8/31]
I'd be wary of total rewrites. Of course, if you decided to do something completely different there's really no helping it, but otherwise... in my experience throwing away everything doesn't really help to make things that much better on the next try. Some stuff from those previous revisions is ...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Updated as of 8/31]
Most of them, fortunately, can be handwaved as Hisao's attention being mostly focussed on Lilly and Hanako keeping her distance a little more, so the player and Hisao never notice how deep Hanako's issues run. Honestly, that's what I assumed from the beginning, having played Hanako's route first ...

My memory might just be getting hazy about her route, but what problems are we talking about here? The mess with her birthday is featured quite heavily in Lilly's route as well...Mirage_GSM wrote:If Hanako had the same problems there as in her own path, those problems would overshadow Hisao and Lilly's.

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Updated as of 8/31]
You're right that there are no MAJOR consequences for him like in other storylines, but his mouth does cause Tetsuo to confront Akira directly in "Shatter" which turned out to be a fairly traumatic event for everyone concerned. After that fight Akira asks Hisao for space to sort herself out, and as ...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Updated as of 8/31]
I agree with your assessment of Nakai, Pip, but I think in this case it adds to the story. In the canon routes Hisao seems to have various glaring weaknesses in character, in Lilly's route, he totally fails to fight for the woman he loves, in Hanako's route he fails to take into consideration that ...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Updated as of 8/31]
Awesome story. I've been reading this over the course of the past several days, and been enjoying it immensely nearly all the way. :) It's been said before, but I feel it's worth reiterating: perhaps the most incredible aspect of this fanfic is how real it feels, both in terms of relationship ...

Re: Shizune's route
"You might need a replay to catch all the subtle details." is an entirely different claim than "You require a replay for the route to make sense." In my opinion, some of those subtle details are required for a lot of things to make sense about the route. A lot of the usual criticism directed ...
