Solved it. I took a more "slash and burn" strategy. Uninstall, scour the computer for all instances of the game, deleted those manually, scoured again just in case, and reinstalled. Oh well, at least I can have Hanako smile at me again. Thanks for the help.

So close, yet so far. It almost popped up, but same error. Frankie hates me lately (my computer.)

Found quite a few files, a few are "persistant", including a folder dedicated to a file, launcher-4, and a folder that appears to have autosaves and save data (LT1 is common)

I decided to play again, and noticed the error. I thought it was just corrupt or something, it had been a while. So I downloaded the game and installed again, same issue.
