I've always thought that talking and connecting with other people about a shared event helps prolong that event.
In this case, it's like the experience of KS continues through our discussion.

Re: My band just released an EP of KS-inspired music
I thought maybe it was written from the point of view of Misha in the rooftop scene right before the final act of Shizune's story.griffon8 wrote:I don't think I understand what's going on in 'Thief'.

Re: Orchestral arrangement of Raindrops and Puddles
Sounds good to me! I like how your a lot of your arrangements have the melody bounce from section to section so everyone gets a part of it, instead of just the first violins haha :D

Concord - Cello & Piano Cover
I recorded a cover of Lilly's theme, Concord: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZTx_iupjvQ I don't have much to say about it, but I was partly inspired by this post about Lilly and her music's development history http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4896&start=375#p67835 It's great to have the ...

Re: KS Music that gets to you
the tune itself isn't anything special. Sarabande is actually a little special, but outside of KS. I study cello and the tune is a part of the instrument's more difficult standard repertoire by the composer Bach. Most people hear only the first two minutes of the suites from TV & movies (The ...

Re: Is there such a thing?
Yes, it exists. Especially in the situation that they're in, at least from personal experience, where 18-19 year olds live in close proximity away from home and seem to have no major obligation besides attending school. My college girlfriend and I were a lot like Lilly and Hisao's route in that we ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Does anyone still get that stabbing sensation in your sides when running? It tends to disappear when your stamina improves but I still get it every now and then. Not sure what to think of this. I used to get these on almost every run when I was younger, and they seemed to become more bearable over ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Hi, I'll be joining you all running :D I'm on week 2 of the guide on the first post. It's been a few years, but I used to run, so I'm pretty confident about making through the c25k. Afterwards I'll probably start on a Hal Higdon program. I think it's awesome to find a thread on physical fitness on a ...

Re: Telling friends and/or family?
I can't even convince my gamer-type friends to try Portal or any LucasArts adventure games, let alone a VN :D. So I just tell them that KS's story is about what it's like to attend a school for the physically disabled. Sometimes I'll tell them about how the development studio formed and worked on ...

Re: POLL: First girl you went for
I'd heard about how the game mechanics worked before playing, so I decided to just see what would happen if I answered the questions the way I would in real life. So I ended up with Emi. But along the way, meeting Lilly for the first time, I knew she would be the one I'd save for last. I'm glad I ...

Re: The "thank you 4LS" thread.
I've played a few VNs in the past, but none has affected me more positively than KS. I used to run but stopped a few years ago. After Emi's route I started running again. Slowly building volume, but I lost about 10 lbs since I started, so feeling pretty good about that. I used to play piano but ...

Re: Which Hisao is your favourite?
Another vote for Emi here. He went to the school because of his condition and yet in all the other routes it didn't really seem like he was getting any help for it.
(which is funny because I just realized I had the most fun going through Lilly's route, which did the opposite to his health).
